About Me

My photo
Frances Jennings
Frances is an artist and illustrator currently working from the vibrant Hamilton House studios in Bristol. Frances graduated in 2005 with a First Class Honours degree in Illustration from the University of The West of England, She has since worked on numerous private commissions including portraiture and experimental work. She has exhibited widely and is currently showing her work, alongside that of other resident artists, in the galleries connected with her studios in Stokes Croft Bristol. Frances was recently shortlisted for the 2011 Royal Society of Portrait Painters Bulldog Bursary. Her work displays a keen interest in natural forms, particularly the human figure and face. She concentrates on the use of colour and light to create intensely atmospheric paintings that blend technical skill with instinctive responses to the subject matter.
